Back to School!

Children from throughout New Jersey recently returned to school. This includes children who are currently fighting cancer, though not all of these kids will be in the classroom. Some will be learning remotely, some from their hospital bed, all striving to learn and maintain the daily routines of life, even during treatment.

FCCF was happy to sponsor a Back to School Event in August for some of the children being treated at Newark Beth Israel Hospital. In partnership with their staff (particularly Tara James, Pediatric Oncology Social Worker, and Dina Patel, Educational Liaison), and with the help of a generous donation, we were able to provide 20 children with a complete array of school supplies- providing relief for the parents who no longer have to worry about how they'll pay for these this year and a fun activity for the kids who got to select what they needed.

It was a great day, with lots of smiling faces and gratitude for the generosity of FCCF and its supporters! Your generosity makes a difference!
