2022 Happy New Year and Important Message
We hope that your holidays were restful, joyful, and filled with special moments. We wish you a healthy and prosperous 2022 and beyond! Please see below note from our Executive Director, Andrea Inauen.
Dear FCCF Families, Supporters, Volunteers, and Friends,
It has been an honor to serve as the Executive Director of the Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation for the past 10+ years. Through this journey, the Foundation has reached new heights in giving, bridged partnerships and growth opportunities in our greater community, and is now celebrating $2.4 million in direct support to families.
I have seen so much heart, courage, generosity, and kindness. From fundraising initiatives and family gatherings to advocacy and creative development, you have all shown me the profound goodness of the human spirit, and I will treasure each of you always.
However, at this time, I am ready to pursue what has also been in my heart for the last two decades. As you know, I am a social worker by background, and individual mental health is something I believe to be so important. As a result, I will be resuming my private counseling practice full-time and, to that end, will be leaving my position as Executive Director of the Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation.
Over the past several months, I have had many conversations with FCCF’s wonderful Board of Directors to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. These kids and families are what is most important, and together we will ensure their continued support and care.
The Foundation Board of Directors is in the process of conducting a search to hire the next Executive Director. I plan to continue my involvement with the FCCF and remain connected with all of you as a supporter and volunteer. I look forward to the Foundation’s growth and celebration as we commemorate the 25th Silver Anniversary in 2022!
January is the Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation’s Month of Gratitude. Be on the lookout for photos, notes, and messages of thanks, hope, and connection from those who you have helped. And know that I, too, am grateful for all of you.
Sincerely,
Andrea Inauen
Executive Director
